3-day Workshop
Run over a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 3-day course is designed as an introduction to the ancient art of stone carving. During the course students will get the chance to create their own unique piece of sculpture, working the stone into shape using centuries-old techniques.
Students will learn how to handle the tools of the trade, choose a piece of stone and work it from ‘rough’ using a traditional mallet and chisel. The emphasis of each day will be on practical work and Robert will be on hand to guide each student and offer advice as needed. Each day will start at 9.00am, finishing at 4.00 on Friday and Saturday, and 3.00 on Sunday. At the end of the course each student will have their own beautiful stone carving to take home with them and enjoy - its bound to become a talking point!
Refreshments in the form of hot/cold drinks will be provided throughout each day of the course. Please bring a packed lunch each day.
Cost per person is £185.00* which includes all tuition, equipment, materials, insurance and refreshments for the three days. A non-refundable deposit of £50.00 will be required upon booking.
* Larger groups of between 6 - 8 will be charged a discounted rate of £175.00 per person.
